High school students and their parents or another caring adult are invited to join the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and friends for an evening on how to make the financial leap from high school to what’s next. Explore how to take charge of this process to maximize the chances of success – whatever success means to you. The role of careers, college and community in achieving financial independence is the theme of the evening.

Dinner is provided, (soul food meal catered by St. Paul based Jocie's Catering). The evening begins with a keynote presentation by Minneapolis Fed Senior Vice President Duane Carter. A fun and hands-on interactive budgeting activity follows. The evening concludes with a panel of business owners, including Lanise Block, owner of Digital Empowerment Project; Suchi Sairam, owner of "FlipStir" educational product company and Jocelyn Thomas, owner of Jocie's Catering/Cozy Cafe.
